Anche il Brasile ha accusato un calo delle immatricolazioni in seguito alla crisi finanziaria, ma la forza della sua economia e gli interventi governativi a sostegno del mercato auto hanno avuto successo sin dai primi mesi del 2009. Per il marchio Fiat il Brasile è divenuto il primo mercato al mondo superando l'anno scorso anche l'Italia. Meno bene Iveco nel 2009, mentre CNH incrementa le vendite. Marchionne è ottimista sulle vendite di Fiat Auto in Brasile nel 2010, viste ancora in crescita. |
Even Brazil has blamed a drop in registrations due to financial crisis, but the strength of its economy and government intervention in support of the car market have been successful since the early months of 2009. For the brand Fiat Brazil has become the first market in the world last year, surpassing even Italy. Less well Iveco in 2009, CNH increase sales. Marchionne is optimistic about the sales of Fiat Auto in Brazil in 2010, having still growing. |

In Brasile sempre molto apprezzati i modelli Fiat più economici, come la Palio e la Uno e la motorizzazione Flexfuel. Rallenta la Grande Punto, buona la performance della nuova Palio Weekend mentre la Linea, introdotta a fine 2008, che aveva un obiettivo di vendita di 30.000 esemplari l'anno, rimane molto lontana da questo traguardo. |
