FIAT GROUP IN CINA La
presenza del Gruppo Fiat in Cina risale al 1979, quando venne aperto a
Pechino il primo ufficio di rappresentanza permanente. La prima iniziativa
industriale venne intrapresa da Iveco, nel 1985, quando siglò un accordo con
il Gruppo NAC per la produzione di veicoli commerciali leggeri, che dieci
anni più tardi si trasformò in una joint venture paritetica, denominata
Naveco.
La
presenza del Gruppo Fiat si è successivamente ampliata con l’avvio di altri
significativi progetti industriali e commerciali, che hanno coinvolto le
principali linee di business: Fiat Group Automobiles, Ferrari e Maserati nel
settore delle automobili; CNH (macchine per l’agricoltura e macchine
movimento terra); Fiat Powertrain Technologies (motori e cambi); Magneti
Marelli (sistemi controllo motore e componenti); Teksid (basamenti per
motori) e Comau (sistemi di produzione).
Attualmente, il Gruppo Fiat è presente in Cina con 3 uffici di
rappresentanza, 14 società totalmente controllate e 9 joint venture, che
occupano nel complesso circa 13.000 persone.
Nel
2008 le attività del Gruppo in Cina hanno generato un fatturato di quasi 2,4
miliardi di dollari.

FIAT GROUP IN CHINA
The presence of the Fiat Group in China dates back to 1979, when it was
opened in Beijing on the first permanent representative office. The first
industrial initiative was undertaken by Iveco in 1985 when it signed an
agreement with the Group for the NAC production of light commercial
vehicles, that ten years later it was transformed into a joint venture,
called Naveco.
The presence of the Fiat Group has since expanded with the opening of
other significant commercial and industrial projects, involving the major
lines of business: Fiat Group Automobiles, Ferrari and Maserati cars in
the area, CNH (machinery for agriculture and Earth-moving machinery), Fiat
Powertrain Technologies (engines and gearboxes), Magneti Marelli (engine
control systems and components), Teksid (base engine) and Comau
(production systems).
Currently, the Fiat Group is present in China with 3 representative
offices, 14 companies totally controlled and 9 joint ventures, which have
in total some 13,000 people.
In 2008, the Group's activities in China have generated sales of nearly
2.4 billion dollars. |

Fiat Group e GAC Group firmano un accordo
quadro per la produzione di autovetture e motori in Cina
Il Gruppo Fiat e
Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC Group) hanno firmato oggi un
accordo quadro per la costituzione di una joint venture paritetica che
produrrà motori e autovetture per il mercato cinese.
Alla presenza del Presidente della Repubblica Popolare Cinese, Hu Jintao, e
del Presidente del Consiglio Italiano, Silvio Berlusconi, l’accordo quadro è
stato sottoscritto, a Roma, da Zhang Fangyou, Presidente di GAC Group, e da
Sergio Marchionne, Amministratore Delegato del Gruppo Fiat.
L’intesa prevede la costruzione di un nuovo stabilimento, che si estenderà
su una superficie produttiva di oltre 700.000 metri quadri, con un
investimento complessivo, da parte della joint venture, pari ad oltre 400
milioni di Euro.
Nella prima fase di sviluppo, la joint venture disporrà di una capacità
installata di 140.000 autovetture e 220.000 motori all’anno.
Successivamente, sarà possibile incrementare la capacità del sito fino a
250.000 vetture e 300.000 motori.
L’avvio della produzione è previsto per la seconda metà del 2011.
I modelli prodotti saranno equipaggiati con motori e cambi tecnologicamente
evoluti, per rispondere alle richieste del Governo Cinese di sviluppare
veicoli a bassi consumi e ridotte emissioni.
Il primo modello che verrà introdotto sul mercato sarà la Linea, berlina a
tre volumi di segmento C. I motori saranno Fire 1.4 T-Jet da 120 e 150
cavalli.
Lo stabilimento sarà situato nella città di Changsha, capitale della
provincia dello Hunan, importante snodo stradale e ferroviario nel cuore
della Cina centro-meridionale, a circa 600 chilometri a nord di Guangzhou,
alla quale sarà collegata entro un paio di anni attraverso una rete
ferroviaria ad alta velocità.
L’iniziativa industriale potrà, inoltre, avvalersi del piano di sostegno
allo sviluppo che il Governo Cinese ha recentemente varato per favorire i
nuovi investitori nelle sei province della Cina Centrale.

Fiat Group and GAC Group sign Framework
Agreement for production of cars and engines in China
Fiat Group and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC Group) today signed a
Framework Agreement to establish a 50/50 joint venture for the
production of cars and engines for the Chinese market.
The agreement was signed in Rome by Zhang Fangyou, Chairman of GAC Group, and Sergio
Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Group, in the presence of the President of the
People’s Republic of China, Hu Jintao, and the Prime Minister of Italy,
Silvio Berlusconi.
Plans call for the construction of a new plant with a more than 700,000 square metre
production area and total investment by the joint venture of more than
€400 million.
Upon completion of the first phase of development, the joint venture will have production
capacity of 140,000 cars and 220,000 engines per year. Plant capacity
could subsequently be increased to a maximum of 250,000 cars and
300,000 engines per year.
Production is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2011.
The models produced will be equipped with the latest in engine and transmission technology
in response to the Chinese government’s requirement to develop
fuel-efficient, low emission vehicles.
The first model to be launched will be the C-segment Linea sedan. The first engines will be
the Fire 1.4l 120hp and 150hp T-Jet engine.
The plant will be located in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, a major road and
rail hub in the heart of south central China, approximately 600
kilometres north of Guangzhou to which it will be connected within a
couple of years by high-speed rail link.
This industrial project is also eligible to receive support from the development plan
recently established by the Chinese government to promote new
investment in six provinces in central China.
