Per il 2012 Unrae stima le immatricolazioni in Italia a 1,68 milioni (-4%); il mercato auto italiano si attesterà per Sergio Marchionne a 1.650.000 vetture nel 2012. Anche nel 2012 il mercato auto in Italia appare in forte calo, le vendite di auto Fiat ed Alfa Romeo seguono l'andamento del mercato, fa meglio Lancia che migliora con la nuova Ypsilon la sua quota di mercato. Stabili le vendite della nuova Fiat Panda e della Lancia Ypsilon, in calo invece gli altri modelli più venduti in Italia rispetto al 2011. Entra nella top ten il Fiat Freemont, mentre sono sempre in forte ribasso le vendite della Fiat Punto e della Fiat Bravo.

L'obiettivo del marchio Jeep è di vendere oltre 125mila nuove vetture in Europa nel 2014.

E' stata lanciata nel 2010 la nuova Fiat Uno, auto più venduta in marzo in Brasile e sono cominciate le vendite della Fiat Bravo e della Fiat 500. La nuova Fiat Palio ha esordito ad inizio 2012. Vendute 2.380 Fiat 500 in marzo in Brasile.

Dopo un 2010 in calo ed un 2011 stabile, le vendite di Fiat in Messico crescono molto bene nel 2012. Anche il mercato messicano è in crescita nel 2012, stabile invece il Gruppo Chrysler.

Buon progresso delle vendite di Jeep ed Alfa Romeo in Giappone nel 2012. Quest'anno sarà in vendita in Giappone anche l'Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Le Fiat 500 vendute in Giappone nel 2011 sono state 4.501.

Il target di vendita della Fiat 500 in Nord America è stato portato nel 2012 da 50.000 a circa 35.000 unità vendute; sono 3.849 le Fiat 500 immatricolate negli Stati Uniti ad aprile 2012.

Ancora in crescita le immatricolazioni del Gruppo Chrysler in Canada nei primi mesi del 2012, nei quali si conferma in testa alle vendite di auto, davanti a Ford e General Motors. Molto bene anche il mercato dell'auto canadese ed in rialzo sensibile la quota di mercato di Chrysler, che si porta sopra il 15%. Le vendite della Fiat 500 in Canada potrebbero superare nel 2012 le 10.000 unità; sono 1.211 le Fiat 500 vendute in Canada a marzo 2012. Tra i modelli del Gruppo Chrysler più venduti in Canada ci sono il Ram Pickup, la Dodge Grand Caravan e la Dodge Journey.
